As I’ve explained in previous blog posts, I LOVE exploring the chakra system. I find the chakras are a powerful tool for helping to explain the mind-body connection, and put context to the things we feel and experience in our bodies and minds every day.
Today, I want to take a deep dive into Muladhara chakra, which is the root chakra.
Like Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the order of the chakras is important. In chakra theory, you can’t truly balance a higher chakra until you’ve found balance in a lower chakra. We need to be aware of the lower chakras whenever we seek to balance a specific chakra, which means that the first, lowest chakra – Muladhara – comes up in every balancing conversation.
